Newborn photo session at Berks County Photography Studio – Life Story Photography of Bernville, PA
This tiny little cutie, born to a family with a love for the outdoors, is sure to have some adventure in the future ahead of him. His awesome parents are fans of the Pennsylvania outdoors, hunting and baseball. It was so fun incorporating their family’s story into their session! Rylen is also their rainbow baby – and we celebrated the hope and joy that he brings to their family with a couple of props including a hand sewn set of clouds and raindrops made by Rylen’s grandma!
Congrats to Rylen’s family and friends! So excited for you as you get to watch Rylen grow and change so quickly from this moment on.
This beautiful baby girl! Ally is the first daughter in this family, she has two older brothers and parents who adore her. Her mom loves pink, and now she has a little one to dress up! Her dad is a farmer and we incorporated the family’s love for John Deere with a tractor and the hats the boys wore. The last newborn session we did for this family was in the summer and it was hot enough to get a few outside in the cornfields. When Ally’s mom was searching Pinterest for ideas for this session, a photo came up from her son’s session in the cornfield – they are Pinterest famous 🙂 Here is a link to one of the cornfield pics – the brothers have grown so much since then! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/44543483789658699/ Congrats to the family!
Summertime… A time for baseball, a time to get outdoors, and most importantly, a time to spend with family. Congrats to this beautiful couple on their new addition! They are blessed with a cuddly and content little guy who even gave us the cutest smile during his session. We were so happy that it was hot enough to step outside the studio for a few photos the day that they came in for their newborn session! So excited for this family!
PJ finally is a big brother to baby brother Grantley Ryder! Life Story has been with Kristin’s and Zach’s journey ever since their engagement and it is so exciting being able to live through all these special life moments with them! They are at a new beginning once again – this time the beginning of having a set of brothers in the household. Their family of 3 is now a family of 4.
As a tribute to Zach’s dad who served in the Army, the session included a shot featuring memorabilia from his days in service, and another tribute to his love for motocross with a photo showcasing his trophies.
In the photos of Kristin’s hands holding Grantley’s little feet, you might notice the extra curve in one of them. He was born with a club foot – a unique feature on him that won’t last long because the doctor’s said they will be able to help it straighten out. Newborns change so quickly – we love capturing all their tiny and unique features before they change.
Through all these pictures, this little man stayed soundly asleep. He even gave a little smile when he snuggled up to his mama’s face. We kind of wanted to keep him 🙂 Congrats to the family on such an amazing little boy!
To all women. To moms, to daughters, to those who yearn to be a mom, to those who just became a mom, we want to share this story with you. It is a story of strength, courage, blessing and faithfulness; and it is a story of hope fulfilled. We were so happy to share in Brittany and Chris’ joy and celebration over the blessing of this new life. Congratulations to this family and thank you for sharing your story!
“Before you were conceived I wanted you. Before you were born I loved you. Before you were here an hour I would die for you. This is the miracle of Mother’s Love.” – Maureen Hawkins
Jackson King is third born to a family near and dear to us at Life Story Photography. He is the son of Leah – the one on our team who helps us keep in touch with the world. She keeps our social media pages up to date with all the exciting things going on. She can also be found assisting with photography and event planning. We are proud to have her on our team and to share her newest addition – Jackson – born this past October. Along with his two older siblings, this little guy is sooo adorable! All three are so precious – enjoy the photos!
It is cold outside, but these photos are bringing some warmth to the day. We are remembering this fabulous family’s newborn session from this past fall. What could be cozier than a tiny newborn wrapped in the arms of her family? Don’t miss the photo of big brother adoring his new sibling. Jake and Kelsea went into the hospital in November and came out in December with this little guy in their arms. He arrived early in the morning on December 1st. Perfect. A December baby born into a family with an enthusiastic love for Christmas. Don’t miss the last photos celebrating this theme.
Other themes included a tribute to Kelsea’s career in teaching using antique books from Jake’s grandmother, and props reflecting the nursery’s fox theme (which is also Kelsea’s maiden name, how cool is that!!!) The Camp Fox sign in the background was a feature at the Fox home when Kelsea was growing up.
Benjamin is such a sweet baby. He has the cutest little smiles and expressions. Congrats to you Jake, Kelsea and the rest of the family on your early Christmas gift!
Congratulations to David and Meredith on their awesome little boy! Julian Ross. His middle name carrries on his mom’s maiden name. It seems that little Julian couldn’t wait to meet his parents – he came over 3 weeks early and was 5 lbs, 7oz. at birth.
We incorporated some key themes in this newborn session that tell a litte more of this beautiful family’s story. Vintage suitcases – they love to travel! Their relationship was long distance for a time which prompted lots of road trips – they have also traveled in Europe, Mexico and all around the US together. The atlas in the photograph belonged to David’s grandfather who traveled worldwide. The photo of their hands stacked featuring their wedding bands is a symbol of their marriage – they recently celebrated their 5th anniversary. In those 5 years they have also celebrated two other pregnancies, which sadly ended in miscarriage – the white balloons are in memoy of those first two babies. The M&D on their bedroom wall seemed appropriate to include – while it represents their first names, it also now represents their titles as Mom and Dad 🙂 And of course we took some photos in the charming mint nursery!
Congrats again and thanks so much for the honor of choosing Life Story for your newborn photos!
*special thanks to antique experts Rachel & Josh for letting us borrow the suitcases – you may have seen their Lock Ridge engagement photos on our blog recently.
With a full head of hair and the most beautiful little eyelashes, this tiny lady is such a cutie! She is third born in her family, but the first girl. The first daughter, and the first granddaughter. We had fun in the studio using pretty wraps and headbands to style her session. I have a feeling there are some friends and family who are going to have fun picking out outfits for Filomena. And I have a feeling there are some fun adventures in her future with her two older brothers 🙂 Such a pleasure meeting and photographing this family’s new addition!
We are overjoyed to announce the arrival of Nyah Rose – the newest addition to Jennifer Stork’s family (one of our photographers).
She is a beauty!
Nyah was born this past Valentine’s Day. We added a “valentine” heart beanie and some “rose” props to our collection before her shoot in our studio 🙂
This upcoming weekend, we are looking forward to Jim and Kristin’s wedding at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster. Jenn’s last meeting with them was set for February 13th…tentatively…since the baby was about to arrive. The meeting happened as planned, and only 9 hours later, Nyah arrived! Now the wedding is almost here, and Nyah is turning two months old. Just goes to show how quickly time flies. We are so happy to capture memories and details that will help hearts cherish these moments for years to come.
Knox is here! And that means Jaxon is a big brother. We had the pleasure of working with this family a little over a year ago when their first son – Jaxon – was born. We were excited to see them again and to meet the new little guy. The boys have their own look…both are sooo cute. And just like last time – mom was happy and looking amazing within two short weeks of his arrival. He came before Christmas and we got to use one of our favorite red and green caps that we got from a local knitter – ittybitty bluesky – to go with theme.
Congrats Jaxon, mom, dad and the rest of the family on another beautiful little boy!
Here he is! Anh Kai arrived just a couple of short weeks ago. His parents did not find out whether they were having a boy or girl – but they picked out names and kept them top secret until baby arrived. Anh is a gender neutral Vietnamese name, and the second part of his name – Kai – is what they plan to call him for short. (I love his name!) It was such a pleasure working with this family and seeing them start their new adventure as parents. I have known Erika and Huy since we did engagement pictures and she has told me since that we would do their newborn photos when their turn came. I was overjoyed for them when I received a card in the mail this past spring announcing their pregnancy, and was so happy to meet their handsome little man so soon after his birth!
She is here! Her nursery was ready in time for her arrival – complete with a Restoration Hardware crib and pink walls. This little lady has a bright eyed curiosity that kept her awake for the first part of her session – we got to see her beautiful eyes open, and she was happy the whole time! We dressed her up in a tutu and delicate headbands – then photographed her with her mommy’s veil, which was also her grandma’s veil! Congrats to the families of this very new & beautiful little girl!
Their beautiful family is growing! We photographed Jill and Kyle’s wedding almost a year ago, and recently had the privilege of meeting their new baby girl. Mya is a gem. She is so sweet with her dark hair and cute baby expressions. She loves to be wrapped and cuddled. Her parents put together a beautiful pink and gray themed nursery – which happens to coordinate with their wedding colors. And…we even got to use Jill’s wedding dress for some of the photos. Congrats Jill & Kyle!
Hair of the year award! This expressive little man, with so much personality already, has an amazing head of hair. Daddy slicked it down for some of the shots, and mommy combed it into a mohawk for others. This newborn session was complete with football and baseball themed photos, and a hard hat in honor of Ralphie’s dad. Halfway through the session, RJ decided that he didn’t want to miss anything…until a ride in his swing soothed him back to sleep. This beautiful family has lots to look forward to as they watch this curious little guy grow and discover the world around him!
Fall is a season that brings along with it many beautiful things – like colorful leaves and campfires. This fall also brought a beautiful little pumpkin into the arms of his loving mom and dad. Welcome baby Jax! He is such a cutie with his dark hair and the cutest little fingers. Congrats to the family!
These newborn photos with culinary, nautical and hunting themes are all part of telling the story! Little Hunter’s mom and dad helped gather ideas and props that made the photos unique to their family. We even got to use fresh vegetables that they grew in the garden as part of the chef scene – Hunter’s dad is a culinary artist! The session started out with one of the biggest (maybe THE biggest) smile I have ever captured from a newborn. He is such a bundle of joy! Congrats to the family!
Welcomed into this world by a family full of love and a world full of sunshine – here is Parker. He is a little man with a lot to learn, and a big brother ready to help him. Austin put his little boots on for him before we headed out to the field, and then started naming and talking about more farm equipment than I could have identified. When Austin was done getting his picture taken with his new brother, he joined daddy in the tractor – and fell asleep on his lap 🙂 I have a feeling these two boys have some fun adventures together ahead of them.
Welcome to the world baby PJ! He was born just a few days before mother’s day – what a heart-warming gift! I have heard it said that it is more fun to dress up baby girls, but we certainly had a blast trying hats and outfits on this little man. His session was full of ideas and props. PJ got to dress up as golfer, and even as a moose! Congrats to PJ’s mom, dad, and all the family and friends welcoming PJ along with them 🙂
Welcome Baby Ainsley! This beautiful little girl was born with the sweetest hint of strawberry in her hair. Her parents are cherishing every new moment. Some of their family’s story can be seen in the image with the antique “Three Little Pigs” storybook. It belonged to Ainsley’s mom when she was a child and was a favorite that her mom would read to her – yes, that is the actual book they would read! The photo with the art and medical books is a reflection on dad’s career as a graphic designer and mom’s occupation as a doctor – she has delivered over 50 babies! It was a pleasure working with this family. There is an obvious bond between mom, dad and baby. I was amazed to see how Ainsley responded to her mom’s voice throughout the session – such a peace would come over her when she heard mommy talk.
Twin newborn session (almost). Baby #8 in his family – his parents, Grant and Mey, gave Ulysses the middle name Octavian to celebrate his place in the family order 🙂 He is a bundle of joy bringing many smiles and happy moments to his parents and seven older siblings. At an ultrasound appointment in her third trimester, Mey was told that she was having twins! They already had suspected this because she was measuring considerably bigger than she had for her past seven pregnancies. Turns out, there was only one baby in there the whole time – but he was a couple pounds heavier than the others!!
Today, Mey generously shared her story on video. I am so excited to post it with the details of the roller coaster ride that they went on through the end of her pregnancy. I remember when she let me know that they were having twins and then sharing it with so many people – the mom of 7 who is now going to have 9! AND I GET TO PHOTOGRAPH TWINS!!! While Mey was researching how to feed twins and put them to sleep, I was buying props that could fit two, watching workshops and delving in to posing guides specific to twins. Hehe. I think this may be a great reason to run a promotion for a twin newborn session in the near future… Please check back for the video – or subscribe to the blog so you are notified when it is posted!
This was an awesome newborn session with baseball and firefighter themes to help tell the family story. Matt and Julie’s interest in baseball is part of what drew them together, and now they have a new member in the family! And a super cute one at that. This little lady made her arrival a few weeks earlier than expected, and was 5 lbs and 15 ounces at birth. She is one week old in these photos. So precious!
Emrie Paige. Beautiful name and beautiful little girl. Bryan and Katie welcomed her into their family just a few weeks ago. She came a little earlier than expected, and has been bringing joy ever since. Thanks to Katie for all the ideas to personalize the session! I loved the idea to incorporate books since Bryan is a bit of a bookworm. He recently completed his masters of Divinity and even knows Greek 🙂
She is a beauty! Introducing Anya – my sister’s new little girl. We were so thrilled to welcome her into the family this past May and to see Soren become a big brother! The two of them are so cute together.
Today is May! Along with the coming of warm weather and fragrant flowers, we celebrate our moms and the joy of being a mother. This year, we are going to have another little one to celebrate in our family – my sister, Jess, is due with a girl on the 8th! I am so excited to meet the baby and already have my props gathered to bring down to Virginia for a photo session when she arrives. Post with photos to follow…
Jess is not only a mom, but also the owner of a new (and fabulous!) Etsy store – Sasha Landis Jewelry. She specializes in eco-friendly, personalized jewelry and Life Story Photos are featured on a number of her sample pieces.

This little man is so precious! He did not want to miss a thing. He was so interested in his first photo shoot – he wanted to stay awake and watch everything that was going on. Love how alert he is in the last shot looking over dad’s shoulder. But, when his need for sleep eventually got the best of him, we got some really cute sleepy shots too. The throw we used from Saint Francis University is a little shout out to the school where Mom and Dad met. What a nice touch!
Children are such a blessing! Our little Ella Joy is two months old already. These two months have been filled with so many precious moments. It is amazing watching our son, Evan, love her so much. The other day he put on his sweet voice and, between kisses and hugs kept repeating to her, “I love you, I love you baby Ella.” Here he is, jumping in front of the camera and getting her to smile for me. I’m pretty sure she loves him too. 🙂
And here are some pictures from the week after she arrived. She is already changing so much! I can’t tell you how happy I am to have these photos to cherish. And what a privilege it is to provide images that have this much meaning for my clients when their new little ones arrive.
